Exel Electrical Engineering (Pty) Ltd, commenced with the business of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Project Engineering on 1 March 2006. The business was initiated by Leon Bouttell and Dave Le Roux, two highly experienced and well-known electrical engineers in the industry. In February 2017 Brett Scott joined as a Director and brought his 31 years’ experience in the Mining and Resources industry. In 2019 Murray Calder and Etienne Greeff became Directors after their many years of quality engineering at Exel. In 2020 the company launched a new brand for a new decade.Exel EE has the resources and capabilities to design, engineer, supply, install and commission full turnkey EC&I projects according to client requirement and specification while offering flexible commercial agreements such as LSTK, EPCM & remeasure contracts to meet various budget requirements.Our engineering team is experienced and capable of delivering quality engineering solutions pertaining to various applications & industries in Africa and around the world.
Brett has extensive experience in the engineering industry and has been instrumental in expanding our services internationally. Brett is passionate about what he does and enjoys travelling to sites around the world to offer quality strategic solutions.
Dave Le Roux
Dave has had a long and successful career in the automation field. He founded and managed successful companies, including Adroit Technologies, DLRA Projects, LBA (Le Roux, Bouttell and Associates) and most recently EXEL Electrical Engineering. Dave is a company Chairman.
Murray joined the company in 2007 and has had various roles within design and commissioning, before advancing to Lead Project Engineer and then CEO.
Leon started Exel in 2006 with Dave. He is hands-on and enjoys every challenge to get the job done. Leon is a company Chairman.
